About

The student scientific group at LUX MED Szpital Carolina, the orthopaedics and sports medicine hospital on Pory. Founded in 2005 and registered with the WUM Student Scientific Society since 2008, it is for future doctors interested in orthopaedics and sports medicine, and for physiotherapists.

Meetings every two weeks with member presentations; observing doctors in clinic and in theatre; plastering, suturing and kinesiotaping courses. Members also attend the hospital’s Scientific Briefings every second Thursday. The most active members of the year go to a two-week orthopaedics and traumatology science camp at a selected hospital. The club co-founded OSTO (Ogólnopolskie Studenckie Towarzystwo Ortopedyczne), backed by PTOiTr and PTA, which gets members into conferences on special terms.
